Tsuchiya Koitsu was a prominent artist during the Shin-Hanga movement in Japan during the later years of the 19th century through the early years of the 20th century. He is known for his scenes from the first Sino-Japanese War. Later in his career he began a publishing house for art prints repepresenting several artists.
